The De Zan Family (First Baby)

In preparation for the birth of our first child, my husband and I decided to take the hypno birthing course Brigitte was offering. We decided to try it because it supported my desire to have a natural labor and we had heard positive things about it from friends.

The course was excellent. It taught me not to fear labor. The methods, techniques and

philosophy proved extremely valuable. Brigitte is filled with a wealth of knowledge and made
us both feel very comfortable. The textbook that comes with the course is also an excellent

I went into labor naturally at 40 weeks and 5 days pregnant. I had my son, Leo Carmelo De Zan
on Aug 7th at 7:15 a.m. He was 8lbs5oz and 20.5 inches long!  I am so pleased to say that I had
positive birth experience and really attribute this to the course as it prepared myself and my
husband for the big day. I laboured at home, focusing on my breathing, until my contractions
were five minutes apart. We then met our midwife at the hospital around midnight. The
hypnobirthing course taught me how to achieve a deep level of relaxation and work with my
body in order to have a successful natural labor.

I'm so proud to say my son was delivered 100% natural (no drugs, no epidural)! The other thing

that is amazing and really interesting is his  heart rate never dropped during the entire labour;
which we believe shows he had the most gentle and calm birth. To become a Mother and give
birth in the manner I did has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life, and
something I am incredibly proud of. I had no idea of the power of my own body. Mostly, I feel so blessed to have been able to give my son this kind of peaceful entry into the world. We are so thrilled and proud to tell his story on how he entered this world and we thank Brigitte and our midwifery care for this.  We highly recommend the hypno birthing course to our friends and family.

The Dugas Family (Second Baby)

At 1pm, I started active labour with contractions coming on every 2 minutes, lasting 1 minute.  I stood and swayed my hips, and would stop and close my eyes and breathe during contractions.  That's the only way that my nurse and companions knew that I was having a contraction!  I kept up with this standing and hip swaying until around 3:30pm and then transferred to hands and knees on the
bed when the surges were getting more intense - I was going into transition at this time.  I still
was able to control my breathing, to the point where my birth companions were still kept
guessing as to whether I was having a surge.

My sister [who attended the classes] was amazing at light touch massage at this point - it was
extremely helpful...  Right at the end of transition, my breathing definitely took a hit and I was
no longer able to take deep breaths to a count of 10 - my breaths were shorter and my exhales
were definite moans!!!  Then, my natural expulsive reflex kicked in and I told my nurse that I
was ready.  She checked me at 4pm and I was ready to breathe my baby down - however, in
the heat of the moment, I must admit that I only tried the breathing down once and then I just
wanted to push with all my might!!!!!  My baby was born at 4:33pm while my wedding song
played softly in the background.  This was not planned - it just so happened that my shuffled
playlist was playing my wedding song at the time of his birth!  Funny because I had previously
meditated that I wished this song would play as he came into the world!!!!  Very cool!

Also, in my meditation with the FEAR RELEASE track, you asked that we choose an amount of
time that we wished our labour to be...  I chose 3.5 hours, although I thought this was a little
quick but that's just the number that kept coming into my head.  My active labour was exactly
3 hours and 33 minutes!!!!  VERY COOL!!!!    He weighed in at 8lb 13oz!!!

I want to thank you so much for your lesson and the meditation tracks that you provided me with!  Hypnobirthing allowed me to have such a calm and gentle birth!!!  It was absolutely amazing!  I am convinced that my post-partum depression after Brandt's birth was actually Post Traumatic Stress disorder - his birth was absolutely horrendous.  This time around, I feel that I regained the power that I lost.  I am a strong and capable and powerful woman, and I am convinced that post-partum depression will not come into play this time!  Thank you again so so so much!  I will never forget Bryce's birth and the role that you played in it!!!!!!

Kelsey & Jacob (First Baby)

[Here is] a photo of our beautiful baby girl Hadley Willow Conrad. She was born March 16th at
3:18am weighing 6 pounds 10 ounces.
I am blown away by how much the breathing techniques and positive thinking worked in my
favour during her birth. I did not even think I was in active labour due to the breathing through
contractions (they barely  hurt)! By the time I called the midwife and she got to our home I was
already 9cm dilated still smiling and making jokes!
I pushed for 2.5 hours and Hadley was born perfectly in a calm relaxed setting, it could not
have been any more perfect, as soon as they got her out I actually said "that wasn't so bad I'd
do it again" lol. Thank you so much for everything, we will recommend you to anyone having
